The Way I Are: About The Author

Posted by wastedenergy on February 14, 2010

Jeremy Abramowitz worked for two years for the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), a nonprofit professional education and training association dedicated to “advancing the practice of economically and environmentally sound solid waste management” (http://www.swana.org/), managing the organization’s online technical training program, recruiting speakers to discuss the latest trends and technologies in all areas of solid waste including collection, disposal, recycling, and energy recovery.  He holds a SWANA Certification in the discipline of Municipal Solid Waste Collection Systems and has attended hundreds of webcasts and conference sessions on solid waste-related topics.  He holds a degree in Geography from Dartmouth College, Class of 2007, with a focus in Human-Environment Relations, and he has eight years of experience on nationally competitive high school and college policy debate teams.

In addition to the trash talk, he has always been interested in energy, climate, resource and environment issues and considers it part of both his personal and professional duty both to closely follow developments in these areas and to get the word out (and squash misinformation like a little bug)!
